April 22, 2021 – Dr. Jay Brigham participated as a panel member for Environmental History Week 2021. This session, Public Historians and Research on Contaminated Sites, was a roundtable discussion exploring best practices for archival research, writing, consultation to attorneys, and expert witness testimony related to contaminated sites. Topics included differences between academic research and research in support of litigation, key repositories and sources of information, working with attorneys, working with consultants from other disciplines (such as environmental engineers and economists), and serving as expert witnesses.
